How the stripes actually work
A day and night blind is a continuous loop of fabric woven in alternating bands: one stripe solid, the next translucent voile. Two layers of this fabric hang one behind the other, and as you move the blind the stripes slide across each other. Line up sheer with sheer and soft light pours through; bring solid over sheer and the window is fully screened.
