Slat width sets the character of the blind. Narrower slats suit smaller cottage-style windows and give a finer, busier texture; wider slats feel more relaxed and open, let more light through when tilted, and show off the grain. As a rule of thumb, the bigger the window, the wider the slat can go — but it's a taste call as much as a technical one, which is why we bring full-size samples to your home rather than asking you to judge from a photograph.
Finish-wise you can run from bright whites and soft greys through mid oaks to rich walnuts and near-black stains. Matching the blind to your flooring, worktops or furniture is usually the trick that makes a room click.
